Installing Let's Begin on Windows - Step by Step

If you click on the initial alert box, you will see a small "window" with the options available:

You will get similar messages in Windows 7 (and Windows Vista) but they may look a little different.

You need to click on Run Setup.exe and the installation process will start automatically.

What do I do if I don't get this option (or if I make the wrong selection)?

Don't worry!

There are a number of reasons why this might not work:

  1. The autostart option may be disabled on your computer;

  2. You may have clicked somewhere else and the message disappeared;

  3. You may have selected one of the other options (such as "Take no action").

If the message did appear but you didn't manage to click on it in the right way, the simplest solution is to eject your CD and reinsert it ... and try again.

If it simply doesn't appear or there is some other reason why you can't get the autostart to work, follow the following instructions:

1. Insert the CD
2. Open a File Manager

In Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, you can do this by clicking on the yellow folder on the task bar at the bottom of your screen.  It looks something like this:

(Note: you may know this as a Windows Explorer or File Explorer.)  This should open a window that looks a bit like this:

3. Click on the DVD Drive

In the list on the left, you should see something that says: DVD RW Drive.  Click on this with your mouse and the details on the right should change:

4. Run the file Setup.exe

You can do this in one of several ways.

a) If you're comfortable using your mouse, simply double click on the file name (i.e. click the left mouse twice in succession with little pause between the two clicks);

b) If this is difficult, click on the right mouse button once when the cursor is over the file name, then click with the left mouse button on the Open option that will appear.

5. From this point onwards, follow the normal instructions
